Falmouth Falcons Falmouth Falcons

The Falcons wear dark-grey and white robes with a falcon-head emblem across the chest. The Falcons are known for hard play, a reputation consolidated by their world-famous Beaters, Kevin and Karl Broadmoor, who played for the club from 1958 to 1969 and who antics resulted in no fewer than fourteen suspensions from the Department of Magical Games and Sports. Club motto: “Let us win, but if we cannot win, let us break a few heads.”
Kennilworthy Whisp - Quidditch Through the Ages

As long as there has been Puddlemere United, there has been the Falmouth Falcons. Officially formed in 1165, two years after their rival, the Falcons have always been known for their hard play. Falmouth's hooligans are nearly as determined and violent as the team they support.

However, most people don't realise that Falmouth is responsible for upgrades in braking and steering charms. Several key members in the past had gone on to create faster and more agile brooms. A great deal of Falmouth players go on to invent better brooms, charms, and Quidditch equipment when their time with the team is through.

Randolph Keitch and Basil Horton are, perhaps, the best known of these inventors. Together, the formed the Comet Trading Company and invented the Keith-Horton Braking Charm. Kevin Broadmoor and Karl Broadmoor, brothers from Devon, became Falmouth's best known (and most violent) Beaters and are responsible for the extra cushioning charms placed on pitches to slow descents.
